Navigation

Use arrow keys to navigate the menus, 'z' or enter to select menu options. 'Esc' or selecting back button will take you back in the menus. You use right and left to select different settings on many buttons (Can not yet see what buttons that is valid for, but future version should have that).

Game-play

Keys

Default are: arrow keys to move and 'z' for stop volley, 'x' for hit and serve toss and 'c' for lob. This can be configured from the game.

Serve

There are two different types of serves:

1. Easy

1. Press and hold hit/toss-key for power at serve toss. A power bar will then appear and power level will increase.
2. Press right-left for aim sideways.
3. Release the hit/toss-key when the power bar is at the top for maximum power.
    

2. Advanced

1. Press and hold hit/toss-key for power at serve toss. Longer hold = higher toss.
2. Press and hold hit/toss-key for power at serve. Longer hold = harder serve. Press right-left for aim sideways.
3. Release hit/toss-key when ball is in green area.

The Easy serve setting is good if you are new to the game. The Advanced serve setting makes it possible to serve harder, but also put you in a greater risk at making double fault.

Watch out for foot fault.

Baseline

• Move the player quickly into position and press hit, stop volley or lob key.
• When hit, stop volley or lob key is press, player will continue to slowly move sideways to move into position.
• The longer hit, stop volley or lob key is pressed the harder the hit will be.
• Press right-left to aim sideways during backswing.
• You can hit the boost key (space by default) to get a temporary power boost (move faster and hit harder). This will however wear you out in a long run.

Use the practice court to perfect it.

The graphics routine is not complete, so swapping between other applications and the game can make players invisible... If repaint of the game screen is needed, press the 'R' key to redraw (you might have to press a couple of times). E-mail me if you want to help out with the graphics routine.
